Since becoming freelance, I've worked with organisations across hospitality, the charity sector and professional services, providing flexible marketing, communications and fundraising support.

From ongoing retainer partnerships to project-based assignments, each piece of work has been tailored to the organisation's goals, challenges and ambitions.

Fractional Marketing Manager | January 2026 – Present

Café Tamra is a family-owned collection of three cafés in Wandsworth, known for its Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired brunch. I joined the business to bring greater clarity to its marketing, strengthen the brand and support its long-term growth. Working closely with the owners, I've helped define the company's mission, vision and purpose, creating a shared direction for the business and aligning the team around its goals. Together, we've developed annual business objectives and a marketing strategy using the SOSTAC planning framework, giving the business a clear roadmap for growth. Alongside the strategic work, I've refreshed the brand identity, overseen the redevelopment of the website and created a social media strategy with clear content pillars to ensure a more consistent and engaging online presence. I've also designed marketing materials to support sales, including a private hire brochure, as well as introducing customer retention initiatives such as loyalty schemes, local business partnerships and bounce-back campaigns to encourage repeat visits and strengthen relationships with the local community. As an ongoing partnership, my role continues to evolve alongside the business, providing strategic marketing leadership while supporting day-to-day initiatives.

Fractional Marketing Manager | April 2023 – December 2025

Old Queen Street Café is an independent British brasserie in the heart of Westminster, serving seasonal British food in a beautiful setting just moments from the Houses of Parliament. I joined the business to provide ongoing marketing support, helping to raise its profile, grow its customer base and establish it as one of Westminster's hidden gems. Over nearly three years, I became an extension of the team, developing annual marketing plans and looking after everything from the website, social media and newsletters to paid digital advertising. I worked closely with the owners to plan seasonal campaigns, promote special events and tell the café's story in a way that reflected its personality and attracted both local customers and visitors. Building relationships was a big part of the role. I collaborated with suppliers on joint campaigns, created opportunities to reach new audiences and helped strengthen the café's presence within the local community. One of my favourite projects was launching Old Queen Street Café as a wedding venue, creating its positioning, developing the marketing materials and introducing it as an intimate and unique space for couples looking for something a little different. This was a role that combined strategy with hands-on delivery, giving the business consistent marketing support while adapting activity to meet its commercial goals throughout the year.

Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Manager | December 2023 – February 2025

Merstham Community Facility Trust (MCFT) is a charity that supports resident-led community projects by providing funding, resources and local infrastructure. I was brought in to strengthen the charity's fundraising and communications, raise awareness of its work and help build stronger connections with local residents, partners and supporters. During my contract, I secured private donations to support community initiatives and developed marketing and communications activity across the charity's website, social media and newsletters to increase visibility and engagement. I also worked closely with stakeholders and community groups to promote projects and helped secure funding to establish a new community cinema, creating an accessible space where local residents could come together to enjoy affordable entertainment and strengthen community connections.

Fundraising & Community Engagement Manager | November 2022 – July 2023

The Merstham Mix was a community cafe supporting a deprived local community through circular food initiatives. I was brought in to strengthen fundraising, increase community engagement and support the delivery of events that encouraged local people to connect with the café and its wider mission. During my nine-month contract, I secured £34,000 in grant funding, providing vital financial support for the organisation's ongoing work. Alongside fundraising, I planned and delivered a programme of inclusive community events and activities that brought local people together and strengthened relationships with residents, schools and partner organisations. I also used social media to promote events, share the cafe's impact and increase awareness of its services, helping to encourage participation and community involvement. Please note: The Merstham Mix ceased trading in July 2023 following financial challenges outside the organisation's control.
